Grief Group

This group is offered at different times during the school year, once per week for a 6-week period during lunch time.

The focus of the group is to help group members gain an understanding of grief, work to develop a coping plan, identify people within a support system and process emotions.

The group provides a place to share feelings with others who have had similar experiences, through discussions and activities.

Changing Families

This group is offered at different times during the school year, once per week for a 6-week period during lunch time.

The purpose of this group is to provide support for individuals who have recently experienced or are currently experiencing separation or divorce in their families.

We focus on feelings and adjustment, rather than the particulars of the individual family situations.

Anger Support

This group is often offered at different times during the school year, once per week for a 6-week period during lunch time.

Within this group, members will learn techniques for coping with difficult emotions and impulses. Group expectations include respecting one another’s feelings and opinions and maintaining confidentiality between group members, as in all of the counseling groups.

Members are encouraged to share their feelings and newly acquired coping strategies with their family as well.
